MANON

Manon In-situ 1.JPG

Inspired by Kenneth MacMillan’s Manon, this piece transforms a small twisted bronze sculpture into an expansive world of movement and emotion. In this interplay between bronze and shadow, Manon becomes a visual parallel to the ballet’s emotional landscape. The small figure represents the tangible world Manon cannot escape, while the shadows expand into the realms of longing, consequence, and fate. It is a work about beauty and burden, light and loss; about a young woman whose spirit flickers brilliantly before being consumed by the very world that once dazzled her.

The piece comes complete with a British Oak base with lights included, as shown in the image, allowing the interplay of light and shadow to bring the artwork to life.
