THE BEVY

The Bevy represents the herds of deer that once roamed our forests. Cast shadows form ghostly silhouettes of a herd in motion, locked in battle, grazing, playing and roaming. This series aims to evoke memory, myth, and the passage of time.

The deer are sculpted from industrial materials such as metal and cement. They are artificial, rigid, and cold, yet when illuminated, they come alive as warm, natural forms. This duality reflects the tension between industry and nature, but also suggests an unexpected harmony: in these works, the synthetic and the organic coexist and intertwine. The sculptures speak to how human presence and industrial remnants have become part of the natural landscape, shaping its history and future alike.
